Services for Bessie T Williams will be held Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Newton County Funeral Home - North in Newton, MS . Burial will be at the Decatur City Cemetery in Decatur, MS with Newton County Funeral Home - North in charge of arrangements. Bro. Mike Grenn and Bro. William Boulton will officiate.

Mrs. Williams, 86, died Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Bedford Care in Mendenhall, MS. She was born February 20, 1929 in Newton, MS.

Mrs. Williams was a lifelong resident of Newton County. She was an active member of Clarke-Venable Baptist Church where she was Preschool Sunday School Teacher for twenty plus years. She was also very dedicated to the WMU. Her hobbies were reading, crocheting, and gardening. She retired from the Big G grocery store in Decatur.

She is preceded in death by: Parents: Zachary and Bessie Doolittle, Husband: Joseph (Joe) Williams, Son: Roy Williams.

She is survived by: Daughters - Elizabeth (John) Riley of Newhebron, MS, Phyllis (Gary) Runyon of Kingsport, TN, Grandchildren: Rhonda Mayhugh, John Riley, Jr., Stacey Jeffcoat, Melissa Shive, Steve Smith, Ben Smith,
