Barbara Nell Boggan, 70, of Hickory, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi. She was born Wednesday, April 4, 1951 in Rose Hill, Mississippi.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, October 31, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Rose Hill, MS.  Bro. Keith Bogan will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200

Mrs. Nell will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She worked at Rush Hospital for over 20 years as an accomplished phlebotomist.  She enjoyed being around people and people enjoyed being around her.  She was a mess- a spunky, fun-loving personality who wholeheartedly loved her boys, her grandson Zane and her chickens.  She will truly be missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Addison Frank Boggan; and her parents, Otho and Hilda Hicks.

Survivors include her sons, Corbett (Amber) Boggan and Cory Boggan; grandson, Zane Boggan; sister, Odell Vick; and her cousin, Wilma Allen.

Pallbearers will be Orville Smith, Jamey Smith, Rodney Wilcher, Mitchell Boggan, Austin Thomas, and Richard Whitten.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Pilgrim, Glenn Smith, and Zane Boggan.
