Andrew "Andy" Monks, 77, of Rose Hill, formerly a thirty-year resident of Bay St. Louis, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022 at his residence. He was born Saturday, January 06, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan, to William and Helen Tomory Monks, who preceded him in death.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, and retired from civil service having been employed with the Naval Oceanographic Office, at the Stennis Space Center, with 39 years of service.

Survivors include his wife of forty-four years: Mrs. Linda Ruffin Monks; his son: Andrew D. Monks-Rogers (Jacob); his daughter, Mary H. Monks and his niece: Arlene James.

Andy will be lovingly remembered by family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The American Cancer Society or the Creature Comforts animal shelter of Clarke County.
