U.S. Veteran

Joseph David Doyle, 50 of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Anderson Regional Medical Center – North Campus in Meridian.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. , on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church. Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens with full military honors.

Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. - 8 P.M. on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church, 321 Williamson Rd., Philadelphia, MS 39350.

He enjoyed being outdoors, tending to his cattle, and loved to work. He also enjoyed camping. He loved to be at home with family, and spending time with them. He loved his friends. He loved serving the Lord and was faithful to His church, Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church, where he served as chairman of the Deacon Board. He was a member of the 186th Air Refueling Wing at Meridian. He was board member of the MS Air National Guard Federal Credit Union.

Survivors include his wife: Lynn Doyle of Philadelphia; children: Rachel Robertson of Philadelphia; Katelyn Thompson of Philadelphia; Josh Doyle of Ft. Bragg, N.C.; and Christy Jay of Hawaii; grandchildren: Rylen Kate Thompson, Gracyn Reese Robertson, Josiah Doyle, Lilly Grace Doyle, and Zayden Jay; and one uncle: Claude Doyle, and his wife, Rena Mae of Mobile, AL

He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph E. "Buck" & Charlene Jones Doyle.

Pallbearers will be LtCol James D. Hamrick, SMSgt Gilbert D. Eaves, SMSgt Carl P. Shannon, MSgt Harold T. Pillsbury, MSgt Harvey R. Troutman, MSgt Jerry R. Corley, MSgt James E. Hutchison, and MSgt Pervis L. Powe.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Richardson, Larry Lillis, Justin Seale, Casey Pope, Jerome Lovern, and Robert Lovern.
