Marijo James Denson, 82 of Decatur, MS, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Infinity Hospice in Marion, MS. Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Newton County Funeral Home North Chapel in Newton,MS with Father Terrell Griffis officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery,Union, MS. Visitation will be from 5 PM til 7 PM Friday at Newton County Funeral Home North, Hwy 15, Newton, MS. 601-635-3200. Mrs. Denson served On The Board of MS Regional Housing Authority Region 5, Board of Directors of MS Prison Industries, she was previously a Member of National Association of Theater Owners, National Association Concessionaires, Will Rogers Foundation, Lifetime Member of ECCC Alumni Association, University Of Mississippi Alumni Association, Member of D.A.R., American Legion Auxillary, longtime active member of The Republican Party, & an avid golfer.

Survivors Include her daughter: Allyson Denson & Richard Cordes, Greenville, MS; Son:Mikel Denson & wife Deanna, Collinsville, MS; 3 Grandchildren: Shade Denson, Samantha Claire Denson, & Chance Denson, all of Collinsville, MS

She was preceded in death by: Husband: Burl H Denson; Parents:Dwight L James SR & Cecil Hayes James; & 2 Brothers: D L James Jr & Marvel James

Pallbearers: David Marshall, Richard Cordes, Sam Burks, Zane Riddle, Mike Reynolds, & Donald Smith Honorary Pallbearers : Mark Gaines, John Miller, & Jerry Nicholson
